Opal is a precious stone that takes its name from the Sanskrit word Upala which literally means precious stone. There is the common opal and the precious opal which is also called “Rainbow Opal,” - it is the rarest, being mined in a limited number of locations worldwide and produces brilliant flashes or streaks of iridescent color when turned in the light, a phenomenon known as “play of color.” 

Opal is meant to amplify our authentic selves, hope and creativity. Opal is at the center of metaphysical and spiritual connection.
